Videoline ''THE TUBE''

The housings ' ' THE TUBE '' were developed particularly for Camcorder with a maximum diagonal diameter of 110mm. The housing lengths are made depending upon type of camera, so that no surplus air inside. The material is not manufactured with carbon, but POM. The housings are equipped all with a internal separate 2.5 LCD monitor with own power source, so that the batteries of the Cams are preserved and the monitor of the camera does not have to be folded. The Camcorder is controlled by LanC or infrared. The three-part modular system of the housing is also later still expandable with longer distance pieces.

BlueboxX VL

BlueboxX VL series video housings were developed specifically for mini DV camcorders. The housings are made of carbon fibre. This high-tech material is mainly used wherever low weight and very high stability are required. The use of carbon makes it possible to produce very small and light housings that withstand rough everyday diving while keeping your luggage weight low.

Camcorder Operation Inside the Housing

An electronic board specially developed for our housings makes it possible to control the operation of the camcorder without mechanical controls. The board is simply connected to the LANC-jack (Sony) of the camcorder. The following functions are available: On, Off, Rec, Foto, Tele, Wide-angle and Focus off.

Video Monitoring and Ancillary Lenses

Video monitoring takes place through the integrated LCD colour Monitor. The window in the housing's backside allows for viewing of the entire picture, making image composition easy and comfortable. The anti-glare coating and the position of the screen deep inside the housing completely eliminates glare. The housing is fitted with an objective plate. We offer tele and close-up ancillary lenses.

Camcorder Operation Inside the Housing

An electronic board specially developed for our housings makes it possible to control the operation of the camcorder without mechanical controls. The board is simply connected to the LANC-jack of the camcorder.

The following functions are available:
On, Off, Rec, Foto, Tele, Wide-angle and Focus off.

Other functions are possible against a supplement.

O-ring and Camcorder Mounting

The camcorder is mounted on a bracket in the front part of the housing, which is then closed with the two quick-clasps. The housing is ready for use within seconds. On housings with LANC controls, only a single O-ring is necessary on the entire housing which seals the two housing halves.

The handle rail is mounted on the underside of the housing and serves also as mount for the lighting system. The handle rail is easily removed to keep the housing dimensions at a minimum.

Handles and Mounting of the Lighting System

We offer two variations of handle rails. The first is attached to the housing underside and is also used as mounting support for the lighting system. Two handles are located on the handle rail, on top of which the joint arms for the lamp heads are mounted.
The second variation is a wing which is attached to the top of the housing and has two mounts for the lamp heads.
Both variations can be detached for transport, keeping the size of the housing at a minimum.
